The artist and her world
Alice Aladjem
Alice Aladjem grew up in the world of fashion before becoming an assistant to photographer Paul Steinitz at the end of the 90s. Very quickly, she moved away from the figurative to explore light, silhouette and emotion, drawing inspiration from surreal. Her artistic work took on a new dimension when she collaborated with designer Jean-Michel Policar to create pieces combining photography and design, such as the “Table Cadre”, exhibited at Paris Design Week in 2014.
Little by little, the image gives way to games of decorative assemblages in metal and plexiglass, between poetry and abstraction. Recently exhibited at the Center Pompidou boutique, she continues her research between photography, metallurgy and design, notably with the K-3 studio.
