Japan Vogue

“You’ll never forget your first VOGUE cover! This one is mine. For more than eight years I was a regulary contributor forJapan Vogue. On a monthly base I made a lot of illustrations for the magazine.

This one in particulary is made for a shoe special. The shoe is Prada but the placement on the head is Schiaparelli of course! The original illustrations is mirrored because in Japan you flip backwards through your magazine or book!!”

Saks Fifth Avenue,
2008

“Feeling like a rockstar happend when I did the WANT IT campaign for the department store Saks Fifth Avenue. The usage (nationwide) of the 18 trend illustrations I did for them ranged from windowdisplay, to bags, instore display, advertistments in the NewYork Times and even a bus sticker was included. A complete, five star travel and stay, diners and lunches in New York and San Fransico completed the over the top job rock & roll job!”

Stop Aids Now,
TNT POST

“Graphic design in the Netherlands has a reputation for being one of the best.
The influence of famous artists like Rietveld, Escher and Dick Bruna can be granted for this. Commissions for creating poststamps for the national postdelivery service TNT Post can be seen a confirmation of your talent. I felt arrived and proud being asked to design a series of stamp illustrations.”

Backdrop, catwalk
& invite for SS 2011 Paris

“I felt like Michelangelo when I walked into the fashion show venue of Viktor& Rolf at theTuilleries ! The backdrop and catwalk were covered with my illustrations specially made for the event. I created them as a small format in my atelier in Amsterdam and the size, volume of how the illustrations turned out to be XXXLARGE made a great impact on me. It felt like being in my own Sistine Chapel!”
